Day 3
I am so glad for a calm day today. The sea is flat and grey and calm. I love the sound of it and the smell and that seaside-y atmosphere.
Day 2
Internet connection is so bad here, so I haven't been able to do this daily until we get home.
Today I'm grateful for my dog. It's so easy to take them for granted sometimes - and he has hurt his foot somehow in the last couple of days. Probably all the running and swimming and has pulled a muscle, but he got lots of hugs and attention yesterday. I like having a dog.

Day 1
Today I am grateful to live in New Zealand.
The first day of the year has started brilliantly with waffles for breakfast, a swim before lunch, a lazy afternoon, watching my children play on the beach, sail a boat, my husband rescue a foolish, drunken swimmer and steak for dinner. A lovely beginning.

Day 14
Today I was happy to find a beautiful new rose beside my bed. This is one of the lovely things my husband has taken to do for me lately. It just makes me smile.
